The first team returned to training this morning with over 30 players attending, including the vast majority of last season's squad. The highlight of the session was the infamous bleep test which was jointly won by James Burgess and Max McCann.
Three new faces were signed today, the first of which is central defender Michael Peacock, who started out at AFC Wimbledon, before moving to Northwood last season. He also spent a period on loan at Ashford Town (Middlesex) the season before last.
The second new face will be partially familar to supporters, as it is David Reading, the twin brother of goalkeeper James. David is a defender who also came through the youth team at Wycombe Wanderers and he had been training with us at times last season.
Finally, Matt O'Brien, who was amongst our trialists last season, has signed for the club. Matt is also a defender who was released by Queens Park Rangers a year ago, and has spent the past year at Hanwell Town.
Also signing forms today were James Burgess, Scott Cousins, Dave Diedhiou, Danny Dyer, Glenn Garner, Freddie Hyatt, Casey Maclaren, Kevin Maclaren, Lee O'Leary, James Parker, James Reading, Lee Scott and Craig Vargas. More players are expected to sign forms over the next few weeks.
