Hendon showed a never-say-die attitude, but ultimately couldn't hold onto a 3-2 lead to suffer relegation this afternoon following a 3-3 draw with mid-table Chatham Town.

Tope Fadahunsi's early effort was bundled into his own net via the post by Reece Butler to give the Greens a 1-0 advantage, and with Dulwich losing by the same scoreline at home to Canvey Island, the gap was down to a provisional 2 points.

Chatham equalised through a fine direct free kick from by Jack Evans, before Harry Webster silenced the majority of the 383-strong crowd with a fine finish from just inside the penalty area to give Chatham the advantage.

Stean Ilic produced a fine low finish from outside the penalty area to give the Greens hope before Fadahunsi scored once again to give the hosts the advantage once again with just four minutes remaining.

Butler made amends steering a free header from a corner inside the far post to level the scores, and with Dulwich grabbing a stoppage time winner from the penalty spot, Hendon's one-season stay back in the Isthmian League Premier Division came to a sad end.
