In what many billed as a must-win game for both clubs, Hendon were punished for another lacklustre performance in the Sussex sunshine as Hastings United got a degree of revenge for their 9-goal beating at SJP with a 2-0 win.

Davide Rodari opened the scoring in the 9th minute, after the Greens had opened brightly and after Reece Grant's 58th minute strike had made it 2-0 there was no way back for Ben Bukowski's beleagured battlers.

It's a return to cup action on Tuesday evening with a Velocity Trophy semi-final at Chatham Town. Kick off is at 7:45pm.
