A superb afternoon's entertainment ended all square at a beautifully sunny Silver Jubilee Park today, with Hendon and Hashtag United sharing six goals equally between them.

A disasterous start for Ben Bukowski's side saw them fall behind inside the first minute when Luke May-Parrott was allowed to loft the ball just inside the far post unchallenged. Bad became worse midway through the first period when Misha Djemaili was left unmarked on the edge of the penalty area to pick his spot from a well-worked free kick routine.

Hendon were handed a lifeline, literally, when Jack Giddens manhandled Rohdell Gordon's free kick into his own net - the goalkeeper was already behind the line when he made a hash of trying to catch the ball - and Kofi Anokye-Boadi's smart finish levelled things up on the hour mark.

As Hendon pushed to go ahead, the Tags were a real threat on the break. Matteo Salamon made one outstanding save and at least two excellent claims at full stretch, while Nikolai Krokhin made a goalsaving challenge inside the penalty area.

Sakariya Hassan finished off another Hashtag counter attack with ten minutes remaining before Tope Fadahunsi, off the bench, controlled a long ball forward, and coolly beat Giddens to level things up.

There was further drama late on when a Hashtag hand appeared to punch away a corner kick, yet the referee was unsighted as both sides had to settle for a point apiece.
