Hendon made it three draws from three away games with another dogged performance at fellow strugglers Whitehawk.

On a heavy pitch, which the Whitehawk groundstaff had done brilliantly to pass a late an inspection, the Greens couldn't have had a worse start.

Debutant Freddie Stanley, on loan from Aldershot Town, was dismissed for denying a goalscoring opportunity inside two minutes before Harry Bridle stabbed the ball home to give the hosts the lead.

Stefan Ilic equalised when his corner kick flew into the net unaided before Bridle grabbed his second of the afternoon shortly before the break to leave the Greens with everything to do in the second period.

Niko Muir was the hero, grabbing the equaliser from close range with a quarter of an hour remaining to ensure Hendon's travelling faithful went home satisfied.
