As you are all aware, Lee and Ian have stepped away from Hendon FC to take charge of Hemel Hempstead Town.
It was a very quick turnaround and owing to the timing, we were not prepared for the emotional fallout and the consequences of losing not just Lee and Ian, but the wonderful Faye, Carlie, Betty and Jean.
All of them contributed massively to keep the club running. They leave with our full support and backing, and genuinely wish them every success in the future. (I'm sure they'll be visiting us when they don't have a match.) They have left us in a much stronger position than when they arrived.
However, that is now in the past and we need to quickly switch our thoughts to the next chapter in our history. We are delighted that Marc Charles-Smith has agreed to take over in the interim, to steady the ship and maintain familiarity and stability for the players.
Marc has had many years in the game and is well respected, and we feel it is only right he is given a chance. The Board are 100% behind him.
You will get to know Marc over the coming weeks in his programme notes and post match interviews. We mustn't forget that we still have a very good squad with a great camaraderie, and want to continue being a well-renowned family club.
I ask you to support Marc, together with Dave and Caolan, in the same way you supported Lee. Players and managers will come and go, but this is our club, and we will support whoever pulls on the famous green and white shirt.
