Hendon romped to their biggest league win since December 2009 with a superb 9-0 victory over Hastings United at a wet and windy Silver Jubilee Park this afternoon.

Niko Muir was the hero of the hour, moving to within two goals of a century for the club with a five-goal haul, equalling a club record for goals in a single game.

Muir opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a fine finish before adding a second shortly after from the penalty spot. Goals from Kai Brosnan and Sam Adenola made it 4-0 at the break.

Niko completed his treble shortly after the break with a superb lob before adding another from a left-wing cross and his fifth with an excellent glancing header. Further strikes from Brosnan and Ethan Light completed the scoring on a fine afternoon for the Greens.

Next up is Whitehawk at SJP on Tuesday evening, kick-off at 7:45pm.
