We are devasted to learn of the passing of long-time supporter Doug Smith following a short illness.

Doug was a keen supporter of the club from the 1950s onwards, and went on to volunteer in the turnstiles at Claremont Road, Vale Farm, Earlsmead, and Silver Jubilee Park.

A true gentleman, Doug also became a key member of the Supporters Trust board following the club's eviction from Claremont Road, working tirelessly to keep the club afloat for future generations to enjoy.

The thoughts of everyone at the club go out to Doug's family at this very sad time.
