They say a week is a long-time in politics - yesterday afternoon proved that five hours is a lot time in that particular field. When it comes to football, a lot can also change over a seven-day period.

Friday afternoon last week saw news emerge that our application to move laterally back to the Isthmian League had been successful and that after 6 years in the Southern League, we are back in what was our home for 56 years.

While that news has certainly helped us in terms of our travel budget for next season, a return to the Isthmian League isn't a silver financial bullet. Enormous challenges remain, and we continue to strive to improve and increase our income streams.

Yesterday evening, Funding our Future hit the £10,000 milestone. This is a brilliant start to helping us not only fund the first team to a competitive level in the 2024/25 season, but invest in the community and future of Hendon Football Club.

However, it is just a start. We still need your help to ensure we can provide Lee with the best possible budget ahead of a challenging new campaign on the field. Off the field we are in dialogue with existing and new sponsors, as well as understanding other ways in which we can grow new and sustainable income streams.

So, while we've made a brilliant start, and would like to thank everyone who has contributed so far, we'd like to continue to ask for your ongoing support over the summer, and beyond, as we look to build on the successful season we've just enjoyed.
