Hendon and Sholing battled to a 2-2 draw last night in a game that suddenly burst into life on the stroke of half time.
After a dismal first 45 minutes, in which the highlight was the loss of Sholing's goalkeeper to injury after which he was replaced in goal by right back George Milner-Smith, Billy Leonard burst through to open the scoring in the first minute of stoppage time.
WIthin two minutes, Lee Wort finished well from the edge of the penalty area to level up matters before Shaun Lucien curled a postage-stamp perfect free kick home to give the Greens the half-time advantage just 60 seconds later.
Niko Muir hit the post moments after the break before Sholing laid siege to the Hendon goal. Brad Targett's diving header levelled things up after 54 minutes and Hendon had to withstand heavy pressure to maintain another point to their tally.
