A 78th minute goal from Joe Grant was enough to give Bracknell Town the edge in a tight contest on Saturday afternoon as the home side defeated Hendon 1-0.
In a game of few chances, Billy Leonard went closest for the Greens with a first half effort that forced a fine save from the home goalkeeper. With defences on top, the Greens gave away possession in midfield to allow Bracknell to counter and Grant slid home the winner to seal the points and move the hosts to within two points of Hendon in the table.
Next up for the Greens is the trip to Oldham Athletic in the FA Trophy on Saturday afternoon.
