Hendon shrugged off the concession of a first minute goal before a blue shirt had touched the ball to overcome high-flying Walton & Hersham 3-1 at the Elmbridge Sports Hub this evening.
Harry Mills arrived at the far post to sweep in a superb Mitchal Gough cross with just seconds on the clock to give the hosts the advantage and they threatened to cut loose with Eddie Simon curling one narrowly wide shortly afterwards.
Hendon slowly got a foothold in the game, creating one or two half chances before coming out after the break utterly revitalised.
Executing a high press to devastating effect, the Greens equalised on 58 minutes when Niko Muir fired high into the net on the turn, before Billy Leonard made it 2-1 midway through the second half.
The home side rattled the post in the final ten minutes before a superbly worked break involving Leonard, Joe White, and Muir ended with the latter sliding the ball past Liam Allen to secure the three points.
The win lifts Hendon to 9th in the table ahead of Saturday's visit to Winchester City.
