Sam Adenola starred again for the Greens by scoring the opening goal just before the hour mark and setting up the second goal for Niko Muir 15 minutes before the end of normal time.
Eastbourne Borough should have gone ahead from a penalty after 17 minutes following a trip in the area, but Matt Kerbey made an excellent save to keep the game scoreless. Eastbourne probably shaded the first half on possession, but Hendon had more attempts on goal.
Early in the second half Dave Diedhiou hit the inside of a post with an overhead kick, but the rebound favoured Eastbourne. Adenola's goal came from a knockdown by Joe White and a first time shot into the corner. The second came from Adenola's break down the right and square pass to Muir, who didn't miss from about 14 yards.
Over all, this was a high-class performance from Hendon.
