Ethan Light was the Hendon hero as he grabbed the winner against Merthyr Town at Silver Jubilee Park on Saturday.

Stooping to head home on the stroke of half-time, Light netted the only goal of the game before the Greens forced a number of excellent second half saves from Jamie Cogman in the visiting goal.

The result sees Hendon move up to 10th in the table with 22 points from 15 games.
