Hendon rode their luck to pick up their third win in a week overcoming fellow strugglers Hartley Wintney in front of 312 supporters at Silver Jubilee Park this afternoon.
Hartley had the better chances in the first half, with two rebounds from good saves from Hafed Al-Droubi missing the target and Max Mullins hitting the inside of the post on the stroke of half-time.
The all-important breakthrough came with 14 minutes remaining when Joe White hit the inside of the same post leaving Niko Muir with an open goal to mark his 100th Hendon appearance with his 59th goal, and the winner.
The win keeps Hendon 18th in the table, five points ahead of North Leigh and with a game in hand on the Oxfordshire side and the clubs above them.
