Hendon came back from a goal down against Brentford 'B' to progress to the last four of the London Senior Cup at a buoyant Silver Jubilee Park this evening.
In front of the onwatching former England captain, David Beckham, a goalless first half gave way to plenty of goals in the second period, beginning with J'Neil Bennett's well-taken penalty giving debutant goalkeeper Manny Agboola no chance.
Hendon responded well, and Niko Muir equalised from close range at the midway point of the second half. Both sides went close before Muir turned home Dave Diedhiou's header in the 90th minute before Shaun Lucien added the icing on the cake deep in stoppage time to give Lee Allinson's men a 3-1 win.
We will travel to Barking, Welling United or Charlton Athletic in the last four. Welling and Charlton go head-to-head on 4th April in the 2nd round with the quarter-final between the winners of that tie and Barking due to take place the following week.
