Hendon sunk to a 2-0 defeat against fellow relegation strugglers Winchester City at Silver Jubilee Park yesterday afternoon, after failing to take advantage of being a man up for more than half-an-hour.

Warren Bentley opened the scoring before Liam Brook was taken out on the edge of the penalty area moments later. The offender, Archie Wilcox was dismissed, but Hendon failed to take advantage of the set piece.

A lacklustre display in the final third came to naught and Winchester added a second on the break late on through sub Oliver Bailey to secure the points and land the Greens even further in the mire.
