Former goalkeeper Chris Grace returned to Silver Jubilee Park to spoil Hendon's run in the FA Trophy at the first hurdle as Binfield won 5-4 on penalties following a goalless 90 minutes.

Both sides had good chances to break the deadlock, with Grace denying Joe White and Tommy Brewer, and Marcin Brzozowski making a superb penalty save to deny Sean Moore in the second half.

After Frank Keita missed the target in the shoot-out, Grace made a good save from Kieran Forbes' penalty and the Berkshire-based visitors continued their excellent start to the season with progression.
