Hendon couldn't make their second half pressure count as Brandon Smalley's excellent first-half goal made the difference at a sunny Silver Jubilee Park this afternoon.

After an edgy first half an hour, Smalley was given too much space on the edge of the penalty area and he curled a superb strike beyond Marcin Brzozowksi into the top corner of the net.

After the break, Hendon piled on the pressure and Frank Keita hit the post but they were unable to break down a stoic Yate back line.
