Young midfielder Hamza Semakula was hit by a devastating blow on Saturday when it emerged that he will be out of action for up to a year with injury.

Hamza has suffered a rupture of his ACL and serious damage to his MCL and meniscus with the prognosis that he will be out for between 9 and 12 months as a minimum.

We're devastated for Hamza, who had shone brightly for us at times this season and made huge progress on the pitch. We will be holding collections for him between now and the end of the season to support him over the coming months, please give as generously as you can.
