Andy Lewis' second half header secured three crucial points for Yate Town as the beat Hendon 2-1 at Silver Jubilee Park this afternoon.
A first-minute penalty awarded against the returning Fred Burbidge saw Yate take an early lead, James Harding scoring from the spot ahead of a very scrappy first half.
Frank Keita was then scythed down inside the Yate penalty area ten minutes after the break and Joe White equalised from the spot. Lewis' header after the Greens once again failed to deal with a corner with twenty minutes remaining sealed the points and boosted Yate's play-off hopes.
