Hendon suffered last second agony at the Ian Moorcroft stadium this afternoon as Louis Morrison's 94th minute penalty kick sealed three points for Tiverton Town.
In a very hard-fought encounter on a heavy and boggy surface, neither side really had much of a sight of goal in the first half but the second period was more open with chances at both ends.
Hendon had the better of the opening 20 minutes of the period and were awarded a penalty kick for handball. Liam Brooks stepped up but didn't get a particularly good contact on his strike and Lewis Williams - named man of the match for the hosts - sprawled to his left to save.
Fred Burbidge made a couple of fine saves of his own to keep things level and it looked as though both sides would earn a point apiece deep in stoppage time. Chukwuka found himself the wrong side of Tafari Moore and scampered in on goal only to be hauled down by the full-back. The official adjudged the offence to have taken place inside the penalty area, sent Moore off, and Morrison used the penultimate kick of the game to administer the last rites.
