It was Weston-super-Mare who returned to the West Country with three points yesterday afternoon at Silver Jubilee Park as early goals in each half saw them to a 2-0 win.
After Tommy Brewer had been adjudged to have handled a goalbound effort from a Weston striker, Dayle Grubb netted a third minute penalty and although the response from Lee Allinson's men was impressive, the final ball often lacked the quality of their approach play. That said, Max Harris did have to make two or three fine saves from efforts from distance.
Half-time substitute Marlon Jackson doubled the visitor's lead four minutes into the second half and although the Greens pressed, the experienced Weston side closed the game out impressively to take the three points home.
