A late goal was once again the undoing of Hendon last night as they exited the Middlesex Senior Cup at the first hurdle against current holders Hanwell Town.
Leone Gravata gave the Greens the lead in the 5th minute after a series of efforts had been blocked by the determined Hanwell defence, and advantage that was held until the 63rd minute when Ogo Obi scored his obligatory penalty kick against his old club.
Harry Rush secured progression for the West London club with four minutes remaining, heading home at the far post after a cross had been allowed to travel uncleared across the face of goal.
