Hendon produced a performance full of endeavour, organisation and no little quality in ending their poor run against in-form Taunton Town, winning 2-0.
After weathering an early storm from the visitors, Liam Brooks and Wilson Carvalho seeing shots saved. Carvalho opened the scoring just past the half-hour mark rifling home from inside the penalty area. Hesitant defending then allowed Brooks to fire home on the break of half time.
Taunton pushed forward after the break but aside from a brilliant Burbidge save that pushed a dipping volley onto the crossbar, shots from distance failed to work the Hendon goalkeeper and they were able to enjoy three points and a clean sheet.
