Hendon failed to capitalise on an excellent start in their opening home league match of the campaign as their rampant Middlesex neighbours came back from 2-0 behind to register six of their own to take the points back to West London.
Jayden Clarke produced a smooth finish to give the Greens the lead in the 10th minute before Christian Smith scored an outlandish goal from inside his own half over the hapless Jack Smith to double the lead just two minutes later.
Hassan Jalloh reduced the arrears just before the half hour mark with a shrewd finish before Moses Emmanuel thumped one into the top corner to level things up two minutes before the break.
Five minutes after the break Fred Burbidge, who made a number of fine saves throughout the evening, conceded a penalty which Emmanuel thumped home and then Francis Amartey netted against his old club midway through the second half to make it 4-2.
Substitute Tommy Smith then left the field injured to leave the Greens a man short in the closing stages and the visitors, in fully rampant mode, took full advantage as Emmanuel scored twice more to make it a personal foursome and half a dozen of the best for Hayes.
