Hendon shrugged off their injury problems and made hay in their longest journey of the season by getting the new season off to the perfect start at title favourites Truro City.
After soaking up some early pressure from the home side Wilson Carvalho broke clear to open the scoring in the 11th minute. The home side continued to press but failed to get past the visiting defence before half-time.
Three goals in six second half minutes gave the Greens an unassailable lead as Christian Smith, Carvalho again and finally substitute Jayden Clarke each scored to give Lee Allinson's men a 4-0 win.
