Hendon began their pre-season campaign with a good run out at Harpenden Town and coming away with a 3-0 success. Lee Allinson took the opportunity to run the rule over a number of trialists with two different elevens playing a half each.
New signings Fred Burbidge and Quba Gordon both started the game which saw one of the trialists give the Greens the lead in the 10th minute before a Shaun Lucien penalty extended the advantage on 25 minutes.
After the break the second XI containing six trialists took to the field and the final goal of the afternoon was netted in the 86th minute by one of those half-dozen.
The fixtures page will be updated with the line-up and scorers in due course - a technical issue is preventing us from making that update at the moment but it should be fixed in the next week or so.
Next up for Allinson's side is the Silver Jubilee Park derby that sees us take on Edgware Town in the inaugural Jeffrey Over Memorial Cup against Rakki Hudson's side. Kick-off will be at 7:30pm with admission on a 'Pay What You Want' basis.
