We are devastated to have heard of the passing of long-time supporter and former secretary of both the Football Club and Supporters Trust, Michael Cox.
Michael supported the club through the glory days of the 1960s and 70s before going on to offer his experience and assistance as club secretary in the early 1990s following the departure of Dave Stanley, helping to steady the ship as Victor Green came on-board as chairman.
Later on Michael became a keen and valuable member of the Supporters Trust board ensuring an extremely high level of rigour and governance in the Trust's activities for a number of years before taking a step back.
In later years Michael was unable to attend games, especially following the move to Silver Jubilee Park, however he continued to follow the club from a distance and remained a loyal and committed supporter to the end.
The thoughts of everyone at the club are with Michael's family at this extremely sad time.
