We are saddened to have learned of the passing of long-term supporter Les Skinner who passed away yesterday following a short illness.
Les first started supporting the club in 1961 and was able to witness the golden age in the 1960s and 70s before going on to become a familiar face, particularly at Claremont Road where he could often be found selling programmes. For many years Les also wrote the programme notes for the Supporters Association page in the matchday programme, which were always an excellent read.
Unfortunately, Les was unable to attend games in the last couple of years but would always be sat at the computer watching online whilst we were playing and keenly supporting the club from a distance, even many times interrupting holidays to ensure he knew how his beloved Greens were getting on.
Our thoughts of everyone connected with the club are with his wife Maureen and Les' family and friends at this desperately sad time.
