Hendon were rewarded for a magnificent rearguard effort as Shaun Lucien's extra time penalty saw them beat Brentford 'B' 1-0 in the London Senior Cup final.
The Greens were made to weather heavy spells of Brentford pressure as the full-timers passed the ball with ease but defended magnificently from back to front to restrict the Bees' to only a handful of clearcut efforts.
In the second period of extra time, Dwade James cut inside and had his ankle clipped inside the penalty area. Shaun Lucien stepped up against the club where he was a junior to send the goalkeeper the wrong way and score the eventual winner.
The win sees the trophy return to Hendon for the first time in five years and for a sixth time in total.
