Hendon rounded off their pre-season campaign with a hard-fought 2-1 win at Ware sealed courtesy of a late own goal.
After a close and keenly contested first period, Sam Corcoran broke the deadlock with a deliciously measured effort that nestled just inside the angle of post and bar after good work for Samrai Gebrai in the 36th minute to give the Greens the half-time advantage.
Ware scored a well worked equaliser four minutes after the break and in a more open second half than first, both sides went close to snatching the lead before an impudent break from right-back by Simeon Olalerin ended with a right wing cross being turned into the roof of his own net by a hapless home defender.
With Saturday's game against Barwell now cancelled, next up for the Greens is what will surely be a stiff test in the London Senior Cup Final against Brentford 'B' on Monday evening, we hope to see a really good following of Hendon fans at Hanwell to cheer the lads on.
