Hendon were made to work hard by Balham this evening at Bedfont Sports as they progressed to the last four of the 2019/20 London Senior Cup.

After an even first half, the Greens upped the tempo after the break and got their rewards when Samrai Gebrai marked his competitive debut with a fine solo strike, beating a couple of defenders before planting the ball into the top corner.

The second goal came with 10-minutes remaining when Dwade James latched onto a long ball forward and from 35-yards measured an outstanding lob over the goalkeeper to seal the win.

We go on to meet Wingate & Finchley in the semi-final at home on a date to be confirmed but likely to be midweek on the week beginning 24th August.
