A poor defensive performance in the first 25 minutes of today's game cost Hendon as they lost 3-1 at Sutton United.
The opening goal came after just 5 minuts when Steve Perkins headed home a corner, before Anthony Joseph doubled the lead shortly afterwards when allowed to run clear at goal. The third was scored by Steve Watts when he was first to react to a loose backpass, and the Greens were left with an uphill climb to get back into the game.
Hendon had a goal from Bradley Thomas disallowed late in the first half, but within 4 minutes of the second period starting, Jamie Busby pulled a goal back after the referee ruled that Lee O'Leary had been fouled in the box. The Greens had the better chances in the second half, but were unable to add to their tally.
