Hendon continue to climb the table with a string of impressive league performances, so much so that it saw the club earn January club of the month after taking 12 points from a possible 15, scoring 12 goals and conceding just 3.
They extended that brilliant January into the beginning of February after beating Yate Town 2-1 at home last weekend. Despite the win, Lee Allinson was not happy with the performance stating, “it was our worst performance of the fiveâ€. Despite this, Hendon find themselves in perfect form heading into this game by sitting in 13th, 7 points above the bottom 3
On the other hand, our opponents Dorchester, are struggling for form, having not won in the league since October. With only 3 wins all season, it’s been a season of misery so far for the club as they look all but certain to face the drop, currently rock bottom of the league, 11 points from safety.
Our first encounter this season ended with a rare Dorchester win, as Jack Hoey sunk the Greens with a hat-trick. During the game, Hendon failed to control a half time lead as they were overrun by the dominant Dorchester side after the break.
Hendon will have a new addition in the squad in the form of Tyrique Clarke. The 18-year-old midfielder joins us from Met Police. However, the squad will be without striker Kingsley Eshun, who is expected to sign for Hartley Wintney. Dorchester have also added to their squad with the addition of French-born striker Emile Kpama Ngoy.
Whilst the form guide would suggest the three points could come back with the Greens, Dorchester will be looking to test the Greens in an attempt to kick-start their great escape from the bottom of the table.
