Hendon saw Waltham Abbey complete the double over them this afternoon, losing 2-0 in miserable conditions. The first half saw few chances of note, James Bent forcing a save and Casey Maclaren firing wide while for Waltham Abbey, Marc Sontag fired wide and hit the crossbar.
The second half saw a little more incident, if not quality, with Dave Diedhiou conceding a penalty just seven minutes in. James Elmes made no mistake from the spot, Laurencin being unable to reach the ball. The Greens responded with Bent having a penalty appeal turned down, Peter Dean hitting the crossbar and both Bent and Guentchev missing the target, but a long ball saw the Greens undone as neither Bradley Thomas or Laurencin took charge, leaving Billy Holland to nod the ball over the keeper from the edge of the penalty area.
