The first team will be keen to put last night's disappointing performance behind them as they go into a run of three important home games against sides currently in the relegation zone over a period of just six days.

On Saturday afternoon we entertain Waltham Abbey, who are currently bottom of the table in their first season playing at this level, 6 points from safety. They picked up a point against Tooting & Mitcham on Tuesday night, but lost their previous two games against Aveley and Sutton United.

They do have one familiar face in their squad, in the shape of popular striker Ricci Crace, who scored 53 goals in 158 appearances for us, having originally joined us from Ware in the summer of 2001.

Our only previous meeting was in the league back in November, when Abbey won 1-0 in very wet conditions.

Gary McCann will be very keen to see the squad continue their good league form and put further daylight between us and the relegation zone. Picking up points against the sides around and below us is very important, and three points tomorrow will go a long way to helping secure Premier Division safety.

Kick off at Vale Farm is at 3.00pm as normal, and we hope to see plenty of you there tomorrow.
