We are delighted to be holding a bucket collection following tomorrow's match in aid of local charity Smile for a Child.

Founded by Chris Read, a former student of Whitefields School on Claremont Road who has fond memories of watching Hendon just up the road, Smile for a Child (which is based in Mill Hill) give grants to children to help them participate and progress in sport.

They support children with any disability and are provided to individuals at school or sports clubs and their typical grant is around £500.

All the money raised from this collection will go to better the lives of local disabled children through the love of sport. This is something
many take for granted. A pair of child’s football boots can cost £30-£40 and a special football frame for a disabled child can cost £400. They all deserve to be able to enjoy the fantastic sport of football.

More information can be found on our website
here or e-mail asmileforachild@btinternet.com.

We hope you are able to give this wonderful local charity your generous support tomorrow afternoon and help to improve someone's accessibility to sport.
