SImon Lawrence today paid tribute to 20 years of Greensnet and to Steve, Phil and more recently John Rogers who have developed and curated it since its creation.
Simon said "November 1999 saw the creation of Greensnet, the club's website, and along with the club's social media channels, the means by which Hendon fans are now able to stay in touch with developments on and off the pitch whether they are based in Kingsbury or Kuala Lumpur.
Today's version of the website offers readers almost real-time access to results, reports and news items as well as an unrivalled archive of player and match statistics.
It's always risky to single out individuals for thanks because it's too easy to forget to thank others but, as we mark 20 years of Greensnet, we have to acknowledge that it doesn't "just happen" - it is a labour of love.
Whether it is changing the page structure, updating a database or writing a news item, it needs someone to care enough to do it and the effort that Steve, Phil and, for the past 9 months, John have put in over the past 20 years must not go un-noticed.
I would like to thank each of them for the work that they have put in over that time to develop the fledgling website into one of - if not - the best club websites around."
