Hayes & Yeading United are the second new opponents taking their place in the Southern League South Premier Division next season, being moved across after handsomely winning the Bostik League South Central Division by 16 points, scoring 129 league goals in the process.
The club was formed in 2007 as an amalgamation of Hayes and Yeading Football Clubs, both of whom were members of the Conference South.
In 2008/9 they secured their place in the Conference National after overcoming Hampton and Richmond Borough in the Play-Off Final. Their stay in the top flight lasted three seasons, relegation coming at the end of the 2011/2 season, which was also their first season ground sharing at Woking's Kingsfield stadium after the closure of Hayes' old Church Road ground.
Following many years of struggle both on and off the pitch as they tried to secure their new home on the site of Yeading's old ground, including a reprieve from relegation, the club found itself relegated to the Southern Leauge at the end of the 2015/6 season and the following season found themselves relegated to Step 4.
Stability has been found under the stewardship of Paul Hughes and their move into the Sky-Ex Stadium culminating in last season's title success and, of course, a 2-0 win here at SJP knocking us out of the Middlesex Senior Cup courtesy of Duncan Culley's brace.
