2018 ended in defeat for the first team as they lost the Boxing Day derby 3-1 at Harrow Borough despite taking the lead in the 5th minute.
The opening goal came when Ricardo German was brought down in the box by Shaun Preddie, and the young striker stepped up to convert from the spot. However, within ten minutes the home side were on level terms when Ryan Moss, who has been a thorn in the side of the Greens for a number of years, found the back of the net.
Harrow took the lead in the 61st minute through Jordan Ireland, and moments after Jimmy Gray had made his final substitutions, Dylan Kearney, who started the season at SJP, scored the home side's third of the afternoon, continuing his recent rich vein of scoring form.
The Greens ended the game with nine men, with Darren Locke missing the last ten minutes after suffering a cut above the eye from a stray stud which required stitches, and Riccardo Alexander-Greenaway limping off in stoppage time with a dead leg.
The result - the fifth defeat in a row - sees the club drop to eighth in the table with a further round of games taking place on Saturday afternoon which we aren't involved in.
