There was no Christmas joy to be had for the first team this afternoon as they were beaten 1-0 by Frome Town who headed back to Somerset with all three points.

In a closely fought game in which chances were at a premium, the visitors took advantage of a moment of lax defending which allowed Ryan Bath to score.

There were debuts for Brendan Murphy-McVey and Darren Locke as Jimmy Gray rang the changes to the line up. The best chances for the Greens were an effort from distance from Murphy-McVey that flew over the bar with the keeper beaten, whilst Ricardo German saw a close range effort cleared off the line.

Next up is a trip to Harrow Borough on Boxing Day. Don't forget that kick off is at the earlier time of 1:00pm.
