The first team put in a performance described on the twitter feed during the first half as feeble as they slipped to an embarrassing 5-1 defeat at Walton Casuals. The home side were full value for their win, with James Ewington leading the way with four goals.
Ewington opened the scoring in the 7th minute, doubled the lead in the 26th minute and completed his hat-trick in the 34th minute. The Greens gained a foothold back in the game on the stroke of half-time when Matty Harriott scored his first goal for the club.
The second half was goalless until the final three minutes. Ewington scored his fourth goal in the 87th minute before Reece Robins completed the scoring from the penalty spot three minutes later.
The Greens have now taken just eight points from their last nine games and will be very keen to turn things around next Saturday when they entertain Frome Town at SJP - kick off at 3:00pm.
