The under 23s continued their winning ways with a 4-3 win at Harrow Borough to move to the top of the table despite being reduced to ten men in the first half.
The young Greens took the lead in the 10th minute when Riccardo Alexander-Greenaway continued his scoring form by converting a penalty. Harrow then equalised with their own penalty shortly before half-time.
The lead was restored by Khalil Francis early in the second half, and it was doubled in the 65th minute by Will Murphy. Harrow pulled a goal back with seven minutes to go, but just two minutes later Alexander-Greenaway scored his second penalty of the game to restore the two goal advantage. Harrow scored a third in the dying moments of the game, but the Greens were able to hold on for all three points.
Mention must be made of goalkeeper Daniel Purdue who made a world class save in the second half with a shot from outside the box that was deflected off our defenders head and going in the top right corner but somehow managed to adjust himself and was able to leap catlike across the goal and tip the ball over the bar.
