The first team secured progression in the FA Trophy this afternoon with a 2-1 win over Staines Town at SJP.
The first half was disappointing for the Greens, as they went a goal behind after 9 minutes, and the visitors had chances to extend their lead. The woodwork was hit at the other end when Lee Chappell's free kick hit the crossbar.
The second half saw a much improved performance with Connor Calcutt scoring his first goal for the club after a goalmouth scramble in the 55th minute, before Cole Brown scored the goal of the game seven minutes later.
The Greens had chances to further extend the lead during the remainder of the game, and limited Staines to half chances to ensure progression to the second qualifying round was secured.
The draw for the next round will be made on Monday, and games will be played on Saturday 10th November.
