Hendon returned to winning ways with an excellent 2-1 victory over fellow high flyers Staines Town. In a hard-fought game against a side who will undoubtedly be challenging at the top of the table come the end of the season, Hendon took the lead in the 24th minute when Marc Leach scored direct from a free-kick. Staines pulled a goal back in the 69th minute courtesy of Howard Newton, but as has so often happened this season, the Greens refused to give up and were rewarded with six minutes to go when Brian Haule stabbed the ball home from ten yards from a Wayne O'Sullivan corner.
