A side made up largely of players who are yet to sign first team forms played out a 2-2 draw at London Colney this evening.
On a pitch that had clearly suffered from the dry hot summer so far, the Greens took the lead in the 4th minute through Matty Newman, only to see the home side equalise two minutes later. Cole Brown restored the lead with a tap in in the 21st minute and that ended the scoring for the first period.
The second half saw the usual raft of substitutions, including the first appearances of the summer by William Murphy and Daniel Purdue - both members of the U18 squad last season who made first team appearances - but the only goal was scored by London Colney and the game ended all square.
It's back to SJP on Saturday as we entertain Haringey Borough, kick off is at 3:00pm.
