Jimmy Gray will have plenty to think about, in a very positive way, as his new charges ran out 9-1 winners over Edgware Town at SJP this evening.
A squad mainly made up of trialists - some of whom whose names were kept under wraps - made a good impression and took the lead in the 10th minute when the trialist wearing number 7 found the back of the net. Adam Martin doubled the lead with a superb strike three minutes later, before Rene Howe headed home a cross in the 37th minute, and the trialist wearing number 10 scored in the 39th minute. The Edgware goal came in the 21st minute when one of their trialists converted a spot kick.
Despite the Greens making 10 substitutions at half time, and a further one with fifteen minutes to go, the goals continued to flow with Tyriq Hunte scoring a hat-trick, and the trialist wearing number 19 scoring twice.
Next up is a home friendly against St Albans City on Saturday afternoon, kicking off at 3:00pm.
