Frome Town are the second of our opponents for the new season that we will be meeting for the first time.
The Robins began life in 1904 in the Wiltshire Premier League, before joining the Western League in 1919, where they won Division Two at the first attempt. Apart from a couple of gaps, they remained in the Western League until 2009 when they were promoted to Southern League Division One South West, then moving up to the Premier Division two years later.
Their best season in the FA Cup was a first round defeat to Leyton Orient in 1953/54, the only time they have reached the competition proper. During their time in the Western League they reached the quarter finals of the FA Vase in 2004/05, a run that included wins over Middlesex sides Kingsbury Town - of course the former residents of SJP - and Brook House (now known as AFC Hayes). The win over Kingsbury Town was at SJP, so when they visit, it won't be their first game there.
