Despite only being a relatively short distance away, according to our records we have never played Beaconsfield Town, or Beaconsfield SYCOB as they used to be known, either competitively or in a friendly. The club was formed in 1994 by a merger of Beaconsfield United and Slough Youth Club Old Boys. This coming season will be their first at Step 3 after their promotion from Step 4 this summer.
However, there are Hendon connections in terms of the personnel at the club, as Gary Meakin, who played for us in the mid-2000s, is their manager, and a number of former Hendon players appeared for them including Brendan Hazlett, Nick Hamann, Omar Vassell, James Rogers-Oben, Scott Cousins, Wes Daly, Andre Da Costa, Aaron Morgan, Michael Peacock and Kezie Ibe.
